WE’RE BACK! Team Cheese Thieves are playing various games as part of Save Point: Bonus Level – a gaming marathon to help the Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity(ECHC) support families during the COVID-19 crisis. The charity goes above and beyond to support children and their families in Edinburgh's Sick Kids hospital and the wider area.
We will stream on twitch across 5, 6 and 7th June 2020!
The situation with COVID-19 has made traditional fundraising difficult, and as with many charities, ECHC are feeling the pressure. Team Cheese Thieves raised over £3,000 for the charity last year during SavePointX, and want to help again!
My five year old daughter Charlotte was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in spring 2019, and we have seen first hand the amazing work that ECHC do. We have benefited from the support of volunteers on the ward providing crafts and activities, music and bed time stories. As well as providing funding for equipment and offering family initiatives.
Recently, ECHC have provided supply drops to isolating families, as well as support materials for children who may find the additional masks and PPE in hospitals scary.
The team name was chosen by Charlotte. As part of her treatment she receives steroids, and one of the many side effects is increased appetite and cravings. She has woken many nights with a desire for all things cheese! She likes to think we are robbing the fridge late at night; hence Cheese Thieves!

And new for 2020: introducing the Junior Cheese Thieves crew of Charlotte and siblings!
The games we are playing will vary, from Playerunknowns Battlegrounds, to Cities Skylines, to whatever! We may take turns and there may be gaps but we will make the time up across the weekend. We may have individual streams as well as the team stream.
